24 x 16 / Acrylics on a substructure made from single use plastic bagsShredded single-use plastic bags are warmed until they melt together creating a painting surface with bumps and valleys. Such texture dictates the style of the painting. The board is then gessoed and painted. The gesso adheres to the heat-treated plastic and the paint adheres to the gesso.
