Rugged dirt roads get you to the Paradise Divide north of Crested Butte. Some seasons, these roads are blocked by avalanche debris and don't open till the next round of snows arrive. Cinnamon Mountain is easily enough summited from the Divide, but as usual, we turned around after enjoying an autumn afternoon sunbathing and exploring its northern spur. To the east is Mount Baldy. Is this "the" Mount Baldy? Hard to say as there must be dozens of peaks in Colorado alone called "Mount Baldy". / 11 x 14" / Oil
