11.5 x 21.5" / oil on canvas / Sitting on the banks of the Toccoa River in Blue Ridge, Georgia I was mesmerized by the undulating movements of the river grasses beneath the water's surface. As I was capturing the murky tones and flowing movement, some leaves from my studio-mate's project called out to me that they wanted to be a part of the painting. The brilliant colors and intricate shapes of fall Maple leaves are hard to resist and a lovely compliment to the tones of the Toccoa.
