Karen Frieda Kaiser
40 x 36" / oilI liked a photo of a dress in a magazine. I decided to draw it and when I did I decided to draw it twice with charcoal on a canvas sitting nearby. I really liked the original drawing, but the painting took on a life of it's own. It became about two bridesmaids and a disappearing bride, a symbol of all the celebrations that were being ditched because of COVID-19.
