When the sky turned this outstanding shade of lavender and the mountain was painted an imperial purple, I gazed at it and thought, "This must be what inspired that part of the 'America the Beautiful' song '...for Purple Mountain Majesties.'" And right then, I knew it that that should be the name of this shot.
