15" x 23" / As I took an early morning walk at one of my favorite places, Ghost Ranch in New Mexico, I came across these unshorn sheep enjoying the springtime pasture. I stood and watched them for quite some time, soaking up the light, shadows and life around me as well as the spectacular backdrop of the butte beyond. It was certainly a moment that needed to be painted.
