Green Ceramic with Three Rings and Legs
12x10x10" / High-fired ceramic / This is a variation of a traditional vase form seen throughout history and in many cultures. With Green Ceramic I have carved the lip making it appear as a spout for a giant milk pitcher, which is in fact quite whimsical, because the form is far too big big to be lifted and poured. I have also added three decorative rings around the girth of the pot to emphasize its fullness. Finally three legs have been added. Why should the vase sit flat on its bottom when it can enjoy the lift of three legs?
