48 x 36" / Acrylic"Green Envy" was created layer-by-layer, allowing for drying time between each one. Working in this way slows the process down, allowing for a sense of depth to be cultivated. Focusing on monochromes frees me to dig deeply into subtle forms and variations of shadow and light. Working intuitively, I react to adjacent and underlying layers, asking the question: How does the color green, in all its limitless variations, make us feel?
