West Virginia: New River Gorge

The New River is actually one of the oldest rivers in North America. This West Virginia park is known for whitewater rafting and kayaking through the 53 miles of the 70,000 acre parkland. The northward flowing waters run in deep canyons among the Appalachian Mountains.
