Out 2 hours before dawn, I drive 45 minutes then hike ~ ½ mile in the darkness to the Mesa Arch in Canyonlands National Park, UT.
As the sun breaks over the horizon, I realize that I’m witnessing a breathtaking sunrise. The sun begins lighting up the canyons and buttes far below. The sunburst radiates its warmth on the inner rim of the arch, creating a gorgeous glowing ring. I stand in humble, pressing the shutter button, hoping to capture a mere representation of God’s artistry.
