Born and raised in California, Jan Kirkpatrick followed her interest in skiing and the outdoors to Colorado in 1967.
Her painting gives her an outlet for her life-long passion for the Rocky Mountains and the Colorado Plateau.
Kirkpatrick’s work hangs in many private and public collections, including at the University of Colorado.
She has had her work juried into many national art shows, and had articles about her paintings in The American Artist, and the Plein Air Painters web newsletter.
Jan and her late husband Don (d 2008) lived on a farm in Boulder County for 38 years, raising two sons, and various equine, canine, and feline friends. Jan continues to live on the farm.
