Partly Cloudy with a Chance of Summiting Flatirons
Artist:
Austin Mueller
SOLD
This piece was inspired by my climbing of the first Flatiron as well as my hiking and trail running below these stunning formations at Chautauqua Park in Boulder, Colorado. It is made from 4 different types of reclaimed century to 2 century old Kentucky tobacco drying barn wood panels. The structures were made from old growth trees in the area consisting of the hard woods of Walnut, Oak, Birch and Beech. The multiple layers, knots and weathered wood grain textures create depth of landscape and a painting like appearance. The Flatirons are also backlit by a battery powered remote controlled LED lighting system, offering 16 different dimmable colors creating beautiful effects, some of which simulating sunsets. / 18 x 18 x 3.5"
